Select Your Topic
The subject of the paper should be determined in such a way that it does not go beyond the issues in the call text announced on the symposium website. International Students can choose a topic related to their academic field.
Apply for the Symposium
You can apply with the Application Form on the web page of the symposium. Deadline for submission of abstracts is 3 July, 2023.
Wait for the Results
After the applications are collected, the Academic Committee will evaluate the abstracts and determine the appropriate applications for the symposium. Accepted abstracts will be announced on 17 July, 2023. After the results are announced, the button below will be active and will take you to the results page.
Write Your Paper
Please write your full paper in accordance with the abstract you submitted in the application. Full papers should be sent by 6 October, 2023.
Check Symposium Program
Accepted papers will be presented at Sütçü İmam University on 1-3 December 2023. The symposium program will be announced at the beginning of December and presentations will be held in the pre-determined halls.
SYMPOSIUM 2015
1st International Student Symposium
The first symposium was held at Yildiz Technical University Davutpasa Campus, Istanbul in collaboration with UDEF and Yildirim Beyazit University. At the symposium, 83 presenters from 42 countries made presentations about international students.
SYMPOSIUM 2016
2nd International Student Symposium
In partnership with Istanbul University and UDEF and with the support of Bagcilar Municipality and Ministry of Youth and Sports; 2nd International Student Symposium was opened at Istanbul University Congress and Culture Center. The program is organized in three different halls. Many academics attended from Turkey and abroad and presented papers on international students.
SYMPOSIUM 2017
3rd International Student Symposium
The 3rd International Student Symposium was held in Konya in collaboration with UDEF and Necmettin Erbakan University. 68 researchers, academics and professionals from 20 different countries, including Turkey; were presented their papers by in 10 different sessions.

4th International Student Symposium
The 4th International Student Symposium was held in Erzurum on December 8-9, in collaboration with UDEF and Ataturk University.
5th International Student Symposium
The 5th International Student Symposium, which has become one of the traditional organizations of UDEF; It was held on December 6-8, 2019 with Trakya University in Edirne.
6. International Student Syposium
The 6th International Student Symposium, which has become one of the traditional organizations of UDEF; will be held in Sakarya on 16-17 September 2020, in partnership with Sakarya University.
7th International Student Symposium
The 7th International Student Symposium will be held in Samsun on 1-3 October 2021 with the organization of UDEF, Ondokuz Mayıs University and Samsun University.
8th International Student Symposium
The 8th International Student Symposium was in Kahramanmaraş between 23-25 September 2022 in collaboration with UDEF (International Federation of Student Associations) and Sütçü İmam University.
9. International Student Symposium
The 9th International Student Symposium will be held in Istanbul between 1-3 December 2023 in collaboration with UDEF (International Federation of Student Associations) and Istanbul Gelişim University. It is aimed that international students and all other researchers studying in Turkey will contribute to the symposium.
ABOUT UDEF

UDEF was established on 14 December 2012 by 11 associations. The target audience is international students studying in Turkey. The number of members of our association has reached 61 associations and 25 branches in 75 cities.

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
International Student Symposium
The International Student Symposium, organized by UDEF in cooperation with different universities and organizations, was first held in 2015 and has been held regularly in different provinces every year so far. The Symposium is covering different studies and issues; problems and solutions of Science and Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences and the issue of International Students in the World and Turkey.
